After a couple of months since the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was imposed by the government due to COVID 19 pandemic, our physicians were back for “Balik Klinik” onsite face-to-face patient consultations. A significant number of doctors resumed their clinic schedule at the Physicians Center with the same “Alagang VRP ” fashion in the new normal that cares. A Balik Klinik taskforce composed of division heads, clinical department chairmen, VRPMSO, IPCC, HAO and MAO took part in the conceptualization and planning of the guidelines and protocols. Some new normals that were instituted were the strict by appointment system, the pre-screening process of each patient entering the PC, the provision of the waiting area (VRP Conference Hall) with socially distanced seating, and other safety protocols. Improvements in the clinics were also done like installation of exhaust fans, acrylic barriers, and many others. To date, about 75% of the roster of VRP physicians have resumed their clinics at the Physicians Center.
